What Modiari is for
Modiari is a personal mole and skin spot diary. It is designed to help you photograph, organise and compare selected skin spots over time so you can keep a clearer personal record.
What Modiari is not
- It is not a skin-cancer screening test.
- It does not determine whether a mole or lesion is benign or malignant.
- It does not replace a full skin examination, dermoscopy, biopsy, pathology or clinical assessment.
- A lack of visible change in photographs does not prove that a lesion is harmless.
- Image alignment or comparison results are visual aids only and are not a diagnosis.
When to seek medical advice
Seek professional assessment if a spot is new, changing, bleeding, painful, persistently itchy, looks different from your other spots, or otherwise concerns you. Do not delay a medical review because an app image appears unchanged.
Camera and device compatibility
Modiari requires a compatible phone or tablet with a functioning camera for photography features. Image quality depends on the camera, focus, lighting, distance and how consistently photographs are taken. The camera is used to capture images; it does not measure physiological values or independently diagnose disease.
Ask Luminous
Ask Luminous is an optional preliminary image review or triage service. It is not an emergency service, and it does not replace an in-person clinical examination, dermoscopy or biopsy where indicated.
If you need urgent care
Modiari and Ask Luminous are not designed for urgent or emergency medical problems. If you believe you need urgent medical attention, seek appropriate urgent medical care rather than waiting for an app response.
Privacy
Skin photographs and health-related information can be sensitive. Read our Privacy Policy for how local diary data, optional sharing, Ask Luminous and online services are handled.
